Fair trade – surely a better way of doing business!

Annie Samwells
Ethos,  Little Tarrington Farm, Little Tarrington, Hereford
Member of The British Association of Fair Trade Shops.

There is a huge range of fair trade goods available and as consumers we do not realise how powerful the effect of our choices can be.  By making a conscious decision to support fair Trade we can have a huge impact on some of the poorest people on earth.
1 in 3 adults now recognise the Fairtrade mark and The British Association of Fair Trade Shops has 117 member shops countrywide.

Ethos, at Little Tarrington Farm, is the local BAFTS member and has a huge range of Fair Trade goods from around 20 countries across the world. New products at Ethos this spring include a lovely new range of palm seed jewellery from Columbia and some exciting innovative gift ware from Morocco.

Some of the products are designed and imported by owner Annie’s sister Leni, from Shakti Man, a large Fair Trade shop in the Isle of Man. Leni has lived and worked extensively in India and Nepal, and her innovative range of hand pressed felt and knitwear is proving a huge hit. So if you are looking for that special something we might just have what you want and you can be sure that your purchase is making a difference to Fair Trade producers, their families and their communities.
