Organic Food

It's been an interesting challenge for myself and the team at Graig Farm to keep up with the increasing demand for organic food, by developing a mail order system to complement our supplies of cheese, soup and meat to shops. support for organic by TV chefs  - and of course food scares - have probably played a part in a growing awareness of the benefits of organic.

I can remember with some amusement when we proudly received our first Organic Food Award. There was a small group of us in a marquee. bravely applauding each other, and convincing ourselves we really had won something big and national!.

By contrast, last year's Awards were held in the Savoy in London, with a large crowd, including the Prince of Wales, 3 Government ministers and 2 'Fat Ladies' from TV - organic really has become mainstream at last.

So if anyone out there needs encouragement for what sometimes seems slow progress, try an overview of the last few years, and you'll probably see that things really are moving, even if we'd like it to move even faster.
