What is the Greenlinks green badging scheme?

Business members are invited to answer 5 'green star' questions on nationally recognised criteria, giving your achievements a public profile,

Your star rating is shown on your listing, and 2 or more stars enables you to use the Greenlinks logo on your stationery, shop window, etc.

We aim to have enough 'badged' businesses to become the first 'GreenTrade' County, similar to 'FairTrade'.

If you have a business listing, login and go to 'manage my listings', click view/edit and scroll down to Green Badging Scheme to complete the tick boxes - each tick = 1 star.

 Green star questions

  1. Do you have an Environmental Policy at least as demanding as the one circulated and agreed by Greenlinks members last year?
  2. Has your company made the May Day network pledge to reduce its energy use by 10% over the next 12 months?
  3. Can your company comply with the Government Green Procurement Criteria?
  4. Does your company have ISO14001 or equivalent?
  5. Does your company participate in Chamber of Commerce Resource Efficiency Programme?

  4. If you need support achieving ISO14001 etc, we have professional experts for this within the Greenlinks network.
